Procedure
The Procedure allows you to add multiple blocks in LabNote Bench. Procedures enable a structured record by writing the course of an experiment in sequence.
Process
Process refers to the behavior of the research process that occurs during experiments, such as stirring and heating. You can add Process blocks to Procedures first. Also, save and retrieve Frequently used Processes directly from the LabNote database.
Material
Once the Procedure and Process are entered, you can now add the Materials you will use. You should prepare Materials in your LabSpace's inventory before you add them!
Set
A Set block can be used as a single Material block. It can be used as a sample that is the result of various experiments. You can freely customize and use it.
2. LabNote Quick Guide
- Start LabNote
- First, log in to LabNote. Then, create a Project and LabNote.
- Prepare Material block
- Before writing any experiment record, you should prepare Materials in the LabSpace’s inventory.
- Click the Material button to prepare them.
- Create Procedure
- Click the +Add procedure button to create a new Procedure section.
- Add the title of the procedure, for example, “Synthesis of zinc-doped iron oxide nanoparticle,” as the sample experiment.
- Add Process block
- Click the +Add process button to add a Process block.
- On the right-sidebar, search for the Process you want to use.
- Search results can be one of the following categories:
- Lab Process: Process managed within the LabSpace-level.
- My Process: Custom Process created within the LabNote-level.
- Public Process: Process suggested by LabNote as pre-sets.
- To add a new Process, click the +Add Process button; to add an existing Process, click the Process in the list.
- Once choosing the right Process, click the +Add button to input different conditions.
- Add Material block via Drag-&-Drop
- Drag-&-Drop the Material block created in your inventory and move it to the Drop Zone.
- Complete writing the experiment record by instantly adding the materials.
